..Pledges to be fair and just in discharge of duties*
The Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Dr(Mrs) Habibat Omolara Adubiaro has preached unity and love among party leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ekiti state.
Dr. Adubiaro who was on a “thank you” visit to party leaders and members of Ado APC ward 11 called on party faithfuls do away with any act that is inimical to the progress of the party.
The SSG while thanking the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, party leaders and members for their support on her appointment, promised to be just and fair in discharge of her duties. She also stated at the meeting that her door would be shut against peddlers of lies.
“First of all, I want to thank the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for entrusting me with this opportunity. My second appreciation will go to our esteemed party leaders and members. You made this to be possible. I am extremely grateful.
“It will be unfair on my side not to take cognizance of your concerted efforts and selfless sacrifice that gave us victory in the June 18 election. We all worked for the party victory.
“The time has come for us to eat the fruit of our labour. I want to urge you to be united as one entity and show love to one another. United we stand, divided we fall.
She stated further that, “Being in this position is not by my power but by the grace of Almighty God. The only way to be grateful to God is to be just and fair in discharge of my duties as Ekiti SSG.
“I want to assure you that I will be truthful, transparent and shut my door against peddlers of lies”
The SSG in her usual act of generosity gave her ward party members fifty thousand naira as transport fare. She also bought cartoons of biscuits and soft drinks for refreshment.
Earlier, the ward Chairman, Mr Adegoke Oba in his good will message on behalf of party leaders and members congratulated Dr. Adubiaro on her appointment as SSG of Ekiti state.
The ward Chairman expressed his delight over her appointment and assured her of total support of party leaders and members.
He also called on the SSG to make use of her position for betterment of party members and never give room to hearsay from anyone.
Also present at the meeting is the All Progressives Congress(APC) House of Assembly candidate for Ado Constituency 1, Hon. Bolaji Olagbaju.
