The Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Dr. Habibat Adubiaro has lauded the significant role played by the former First Lady, Erelu Bisi Adeleye Fayemi in shapening the lives of people through her published literature books.
Dr.Adubiaro made these remarks during the Book Reading Conversation and public presentation of the Association of Nigerian Authors’ (ANA) held in Ado-Ekiti.
She emphasized that the event was more than just a gathering of attendees,but a cultural celebration, highlighting the richness of Nigeria’s literary heritage and the vibrancy of its creative community.
The SSG described the occasion as a testament to the enduring power of literature to transcend time and place, offering insights and reflecting the diversity of experiences.
“The Anthology we unveil today is a testament to this power, as it encapsulates the rich and varied voices of Nigerian authors, each contributing a piece of our national story,” Dr. Adubiaro stated.
She commended the Association of Nigerian Authors for its long-standing commitment to nurturing and promoting literary excellence in Nigeria. According to her, ANA has provided a platform for countless voices and stories to be heard and celebrated, significantly contributing to the nation’s literary landscape.
She urged the audience to use the opportunity to explore the narratives that can shape Nigerian identity and deepen their understanding of the world, encouraging the attendees not only to appreciate the art of writing but also to engage in meaningful dialogue that fosters greater understanding and connection among people.
