The Secretary to Ekiti State Government(SSG), Dr(Mrs) Habibat Omolara Adubiaro has expressed her shock over the sudden death of the Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt(Hon.) Funminiyi Afuye.
Adubiaro in a statement said the death of Afuye was a huge loss to the state. She described the late Speaker as a man of good character who served the state selflessly to the best of his ability while alive.
“We received with rude shock the sudden demise of the Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt(Hon) Funminiyi Afuye. This is a sad moment for all of us in the Progressive fold”
The SSG stated further by commiserating with the family of the deceased and the entire people of Ikere-Ekiti.
She also sympathized with members of Ekiti State House of Assembly over the death of their speaker
Adubiaro prayed that God Almighty would grant them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable.
“I want to use this medium to commiserate with the family of deceased, members of the legislative arm and the entire people of Ikere-Ekiti and Ekiti state at large.
The death of the Speaker has created a vacuum.
” My prayer is that God Almighty would grant the family of late Speaker fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
