Ekiti SSG, Adubiaro Donates Food Items To Special School For Disability To Celebrate Oyebanji’s Birthday

The Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Dr(Mrs) Habibat Omolara Adubiaro has donated food items which include bags of semovita, cartoons of indomie, sanitary pads and others to students of Government Special School for the Blind, in Ikere-Ekiti.

The SSG who was in the school on Wednesday morning in company of some All Progressives Congress(APC) party leaders in Ado-Ekiti said the little donation was in compliance with the Governor’s directive that his birthday should be celebrated with people with disabilities.

Adubiaro stated further in her brief remark that the directive from the Governor shows that he has them in mind and ready to prioritize their welfare.

“We are here today to celebrate the birthday of His Excellency, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji. For the governor to say that his birthday gift should be converted to donation to people with disabilities shows that he has you in mind.

“We are here to present these items to you in compliance of the governor’s directive. Gov. Biodun Oyebanji is passionate about your welfare and will continue to prioritize it”

Earlier, the Principal of the special school, Mrs Amogbonjaye Felicia Bosede in her welcome address congratulated the Governor on his 55th birthday and appreciated him for deeming it fit to associate with people with disabilities.

She also showed appreciation to the SSG for the donation.

“I Will like to congratulate the Governor on this glorious occasion and pray that he will celebrate more of this in good health and abundant blessings.

“Today celebration is unique in the sense that within the short period, His Excellency deems it fit to associate with people with disabilities, an indication that he is part of us”

“I want to also thank the SSG, Dr(Mrs) Adubiaro for this kind gesture and pray that God will continue to replenish her pocket”

The Principal stated further by calling on the government to attend to some of their needs such as payment of staff salary, prompt and regular release of feeding and maintainance grants for the three special schools, payment of WAEC and NECO examination fees among others.

The students of the school in their joyful mood entertained the SSG and her entourage with beautiful songs to celebrate the governor’s birthday.
