Heritagenewsng reports, as Nigeria’s World Junior Athletics Championship gold medalist, Bamidele Ajayi marks his birthday today, the chairman, Ekiti state Sports Council, Hon.Mrs Olusola Osetoba has sent her warm greetings to the young and energetic athlete.
Mrs Osetoba who described the Isan-Ekiti born runner as a humble and committed personalty prayed God’s wisdom and strength for him to forge ahead in his sporting career.
She said the sports Council management will continue to accord him and other outstanding sportsmen and women needed support to make them thrive at both national and international scenes.
In the same vein, the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN Ekiti State chapter has joined individuals and groups felicitating Bamidele Ajayi on his new age.
Ekiti SWAN chairman, Qozeem Oladapo urged him to keep the flag flying by avoiding all sorts of distractions that could hinder him from sustaining the feat that led to his heroic gold medal race at the World Junior Athletics Championship in Kenya some weeks ago.
SWAN promised to ceaselessly use all available tools to promote Bamidele Ajayi and other young, vibrant and committed athletes in Ekiti state by showcasing them to the world through the media.
SWAN also congratulated the mother of Bamidele Ajayi for being able to raise a son to stardom through hard earned money from petty trade.
Recall that Bamidele Ajayi who clocked 17 today (25th September,2021) won a famous gold medal for Nigeria in the 4 by 400 metre mixed relay race at the 2021 World Junior Athletics Championship in Kenya in August.
