The Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Adeoye Stephen Aribasoye has called for synergy between the Assembly and critical stakeholders for the purpose of moving the state forward.
The Speaker stated this why playing host to members of a social cultural group, the Ekiti E-Eleven who were in his office on a congratulatory visit over his recent election as Speaker.
Aribasoye who appreciated members of the group for the visit, also thanked them for counting him worthy to be one of them.
He described the group as one known for its progressive intervention in the state, having produced past and present governors, members of the National Assembly, traditional rulers, and eminent ekiti indigenes both home and abroad, therefore urged them to continue in the right direction that has made them unique.
He also urged members of the group not to relent in their effort at ensuring their voices are heard, and as well their impact felt by the people.
The Speaker who expressed the intentions of the 7th Assembly to collaborate with the state government in keeping Ekiti working towards shared prosperity, through a responsive and responsible legislation, charged the frontline social cultural group to come up with private bills and ideas that will have positive impact in the life of Ekiti people.
He urged them to feel free to offer useful advice that can enhance good governance, also enjoined the group to be more pro-active and keep maintaining the highest standard of Omoluabi the group is known for.
Earlier the Chairman of the group, Chief Kola Akosile said they were in the House to felicitate and congratulate him on his emergence as Speaker of Ekiti House of Assembly.
He promised that the group will always support the state to achieve the objective of the founding fathers’
Other members of the group who accompanied the Chairman include, Mrs Yetunde Fosudo, Dr. Omojola Awosusi, and Rt. Hon Tunji Orisalade among others.
