In his bid to complement the efforts of the Nigerian President, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and that of the Governor of Ekiti state, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji In boosting agricultural production in the country, House of Representatives member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1 and Chairman, House Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values, Hon. Fatoba Olusola Steve has donated Power Tiller to a group of young farmers known as Ekiti Ireakari Youth Farmers Cooperative in Ado-Ekiti to support their farming efforts.
In his remarks, the leader of the young farmers’ cooperative who is doubles as the Senior Special Assistant(SSA) to Ekiti state Governor on Agric Extension, Dr. Sikiru Olowoyo showed their profound appreciation to the lawmaker for his swift response to their demand and words of encouragement as they embark on their agricultural journey.
In the same vein, another political appointee in charge of farm settlement, who was among those present at the presentation of farm equipment to the farmers commended Hon. Fatoba for giving back to the youths of Ekiti and complementing the efforts of the state government towards boosting agricultural production. The Governor’s aide urged the concerned youths to make judicious use of the tremendous opportunity given to them for massive food production for the people of Ekiti state.
The presentation of the Power Tiller to the farmers’ cooperative was witnessed by other important dignitaries which included the SSA to the Ekiti state Governor on food security, Hon. Kunle Arokodare, a political leader of the All Progressives Congress(APC).from Ado ward 3, Mr Dada Henry and some delegation of Hon. Fatoba which was led by his Personal Assistant, Mr Hakeem Lawal. Also present other members of Ireakari farmers cooperative society.
