Heritagenewsng reports that the first vice Chairman, Ekiti State Referees Council, Mr Adeshina Oguntuase has fulfilled his promise by donating plastic chairs to the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN, Ekiti State chapter.
At the presentation held at the SWAN office, Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday, the donor said the gesture was to acknowledge and appreciate the impressive reportage lf sporting activities from the grassroots by the sports journalists in Ekiti state.
Mr Oguntuase who commended the Qozeem Oladapo led SWAN executive said it was his own personal efforts to encourage members of SWAN not to relent but to keep up the good work.
Immediate past chairman of SWAN in Ekiti state, Ayodeji Ogunsakin gave kudos to Mr Oguntuase for the gesture urging other sports stakeholders to support SWAN for its members to be motivated more to serve those in the Sports Circle in Ekiti state.
The chairman,SWAN, Ekiti State chapter, Qozeem Oladapo thanked the donor for fulfilling his promise within 48 hours of making his intention known.
Oladapo assured him of a reinvigorated efforts at promoting activities of the Referees Council in Ekiti state as well as those in other sports departments.
The SWAN chairman noted that the chairs as well as those given to the Association by the Ekiti Allstars International will ensure conenience for SWAN members while discharging their duties at the SWAN office.
Presentation of the gift was witnessed by members of the Referees Council and SWAN.
