Professor Modupe Adelabu has been affirmed as the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ado-Ekiti Local Government. The affirmation took place on Saturday evening at the APC secretariat in Ado-Ekiti, officiated by the party’s leadership in Ekiti State.
The event saw the attendance of significant representatives, including the Special Adviser on Political Matters to Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, High Chief Olajide Awe, Hon. Karounwi Oladapo, the Hon. Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun, Commissioner for Information. The meeting was chaired by Chief Jide Awe on behalf of the Governor, with the APC State Chairman, Hon. Sola Elesin, also in attendance.
The decision to affirm Professor Modupe Adelabu was made by the Party’s constitution. Other critical stakeholders present included the APC Chairman in Ado-Ekiti Local Government, Hon. Mike Akinleye, Distinguished Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Chief Mrs. Tosin Ajisafe Aluko, Hon. Commissioner for Environment, Prince Adedipe Adeniyi Apase, Pa QC Omodara, Prince Ademola Adetolapapa, Hon. Yomi Oso, and Hon. Odunayo Talabi, among others.
This endorsement is expected to enhance the APC’s influence and cohesion within the local government, with Professor Adelabu bringing her extensive experience and leadership skills to her new role. The party’s leadership and stakeholders expressed confidence in her ability to unify and advance the party’s objectives in Ado-Ekiti.
