Ekiti State Government says its current investment on economy is to take the state from traditional way of generating Revenue to digital and build an economically viable society in order to cater for peoples’ welfare.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Publicity Affairs, Chief Niyi Ojo stated this while featuring on a live radio programme “Setigbo” .
Chief Ojo who listed some of Gov. Fayemi’s projects to include resuscitation of Ikun Dairy Farm, Ekiti Agro Allied International Cargo Airport and Civic Centres, said that the projects had the capacity to improve the state IGR and bring about meaningful development in Ekiti.
He pointed out that Fayemi’s administration carefully embarked on the projects to place Ekiti economy on a sound footing and change the state’s over dependent on monthly federal allocation.
While speaking on the need for Pensioners and Workers to bear with government on its promise to clear all the backlog of salaries arrears and pension, Chief Ojo noted that the salary arrears were owed by the immediate past administration of former Governor Fayose.
He said APC administration would not relent in the efforts to build Ekiti to attain the status of economic viability in the interest of teeming youths who were mostly graduates and job seekers.
The Senior Special Assistant called on the electorate to vote APC Governorship candidate, Mr Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji in the June eighteen election in order to sustain the current prompt payment of salary and meaningful developmental projects across the towns and villages in Ekiti
