“Ekiti APC Will Deliver Presidency For Tinubu 100% Without Fayose’s Support”- Says Hon Fatoba

By Gbenga Sodeinde

Hon. Steve Olusola FATOBA has carpeted former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose over his reported overtures to APC, warning him that Ekiti APC does not need him to win elections in the state.

Fayose has reportedly asked APC to support his son, Joju, who is contesting Ekiti Central I constituency on the platform of PDP against Fatoba, so that he could help Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu win Ekiti State.

Hon. Fatoba, who is representing Ekiti Central I constituency in the House of Representatives, counseled Fayose to face the many problems that he is facing in his party, the PDP and expressed confidence that APC will win Ekiti State overwhelmingly for Tinubu.

The APC Chief, “we have heard how Fayose has been boasting about that he had an agreement with APC and that he would win Presidency for Tinubu that people should support his son to win the house of Representatives.

“It is a matter of public knowledge that Fayose has been rejected by most members and leaders of his party who have lost confidence in him”. He added.

Fatoba said among the allegations levelled against the embattled former Governor is that he has become a political merchant who is ready to sell out to the highest bidder.

Hon. Fatoba pointed out: “Fayose’s track record has portrayed him as a highly unreliable person and that no reasonable politician would want to work with him.

To buttress this assertion is a recent development in PDP, “when the list of proposed members of Ekiti State Presidential Campaign Committee that he sent to Abuja, was rejected by the party candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

“Fayose mobilized some of his supporters to reject their nomination as members of PCC in Ekiti State”.

Fatoba said the APC does not need such an unstable element, “a rejected leader who has lost his bearing and relevance in the state”.

He pointed out that the APC has the pedigree and track record to win any election 100 per cent in Ekiti State because it’s performance has endeared the party to the people; adding that Tinubu’s victory in Ekiti is a forgone conclusion.

He said what remains now is for the party to increase the tempo in it’s efforts to satisfy the yearnings of the people.

Fatoba therefore urged the people to go and collect their PVC and vote Tinubu during the Presidential elections, with all other APC candidates for Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly respectively.

“My appeal now is that all of you, our people in Ekiti should go and collect your PVC and on election day, let us vote Tinubu, all the APC candidates for Senate, all the APC for House of Representatives, and all the APC candidates for House of Assembly”.
