With barely 5 days to the conduct of APC governorship primary election in Ekiti state, aspirants have began to deploy various strategies to woo delegates to their side. The political atmosphere has gradually becoming political charged with each aspirant trying to present himself as the best to succeed the incumbent Governor, His Excellency Dr John Kayode Fayemi come October 16.
So far, we have had 7 aspirants which include the former SSG of Ekiti state, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji who have collected the Expression of Interest and Nomination form to contest the January 27 governorship primary election.
All the governorship aspirants are adjudged to be good and qualified to take over the mantle of leadership. But among the good there is always the best.
As our esteemed APC party member are warming up to take a critical decision on who is fit to be given the party ticket to contest the governorship election with the major opposition People’s Democratic Party and other parties come June this year, there is need to take a look, xray and pick the best among the aspirants.
At this juncture, I will like to plead to our esteemed delegates to take a look at some exceptional qualities in one of the aspirants in person of Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji popularly called BAO by his admirers and why he should be voted for come January 22.
There are some exceptional qualities in this Ikogosi born politician that gives him an edge over other aspirants.
These exceptional qualities are;
☆Homegrown Factor:
Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji is an homegrown politician. He schooled and worked in Ekiti. He is not a foreign breed but home breed. The choice of BAO will be a better response to the agitation of an homegrown to take over the mantle of leadership in Ekiti state.
The choice of BAO is a challenge and will go a long way of brighten the hope of other homegrown politicians to attain the highest positions in our dear Ekiti state.
☆Good Track Record: Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has carved a niche for himself with his dedication to service and commitment towards the progress of Ekiti state.
He has judiciously made use of the little opportunity given to him to impact positively into the lives of people around.
During his active years of service he conducted himself well in a very transparent manner with outstanding performance.
☆Experience And Exposure: One thing that is germane that delegates must put into consideration is the experience and exposure of the aspirant to be voted for. In terms of experience and exposure, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has it. He is well tutored in act of governance. He has had an opportunity to serve in various capacities under different administrations. He is opportuned to serve Ekiti state meritoriously for eleven years out its twenty-two years of its existence.
He is part of the struggle for the creation of Ekiti state. He served as the secretary of the committee for the creation of Ekiti state meritoriously.
He is part of the success story of JKF1 and JKF2 administration in Ekiti state.

He has shown this as the first aspirant to seek permission from the party to embark on local government tour and the first aspirant to field the party back upon the completion of his local government tour.
Besides, he stated it clearly during his tour of local government that he would bring government back to the party. The candidacy and emergence of Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji will restore party supremacy and further give members of the progressive fold a sense of belonging.
