The government of Ekiti state has signed a bilateral relationship with Oriental region of Morocco. The Governor of Ekiti state, His Excellency, Mr Biodun Oyebanji was represented at the signing of the bilateral agreement by the Secretary to the state Government, Dr. Habibat Adubiaro and the Special Adviser on Trade and Industry, Mrs Tayo Adeola at Oujda, Morocco on Friday.
Governor Oyebanji in an address delivered by the SSG expressed the outmost delight of the state government in forging a partnership agreement with the Oriental region of Morocco in the spirit of promoting social solidarity economy.
The Governor stated that, the bilateral relationship
signifies a momentous step towards fostering sustainable
development, equitable growth, and inclusive economic practices in the respective
regions. He stated further that by joining
hands with the Oriental region of Morocco, the state government has embarked on a transformative journey to
harness the potential of social solidarity economy for the betterment of both societies.
The Governor said, “On behalf of the people and Government of Ekiti State, I am thrilled to extend our
warmest greetings and express our utmost delight in forging a partnership agreement
with the Oriental region of Morocco in the spirit of promoting social solidarity economy.
“This auspicious collaboration signifies a momentous step towards fostering sustainable

The Governor in his address added that the state government recognizes the tremendous opportunities that lie ahead through the partnership agreement that would enhance the development of the state.

Oriental region of Morocco is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, vibrant economic
landscape, and remarkable achievements in promoting social solidarity economy.
The SSG signed the bilateral agreement document with the Moroccan Government on behalf of the government of Ekiti State.
