The House of Representatives member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1 and Chairman, House committee on information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values, Hon. Fatoba Olusola Steve has sent his warmest greetings to Christians on the celebration of this year’s Easter.
Fatoba congratulated Christians for the successful completion of the 40-day fast with a call to them to justify the selfless sacrifice made by Jesus Christ on the cross of calvary by embracing a new life devoid of sin.
The lawmaker urged Nigerians not despair with the current economic situation as all things will come back to normalcy which the resurrection of Jesus Christ has taught us.
The Reps member also called on Christians to use the opportunity offered by the period to seek for God’s divine intervention for the country. He wished them happy celebration.
“Through Jesus’ death on the Cross, we have been granted a second chance. We have permission to leave our old lives behind and focus on the new day, with all its potential for joy and choices that honor God.
“The resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day of his crucifixion has taught us that at the end of every tunnel there is always a light. Nigerians should learn a great lesson from this that the challenges facing the country at the moment will be over.
“They should not despair but use the opportunity offered by this period of Easter to seek for God’s divine intervention for the country. I wish all Christians happy celebration” said Fatoba
