The Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools, ASUSS, Ekiti State chapter wants the state Governor-Elect Mr Biodun Oyebanji to actualise his vision for the education sector as promised during his campaign.

In a message signed by its Chairman Comrade Sola Adigun and Secretary, Comrade Adeola Augustine, the Union congratulated Mr Oyebanji for emerging winner of the Governorship contest with a landslide victory.

The Union points out that one of the key indicators that any society is ready for development is the priority given to Education, most especially at the secondary school level which is the major bridge between elementary and Tertiary education.

It says secondary teachers in the state are very hopeful that the Governor-Elect would balance the dual issues of infrastructure and teacher Welfare as a major impetus for educational revolution in the state.

ASUSS notes that defeating other parties in 15 out of the 16 Local Government Areas of the state attests to the fact that Mr Oyebanji remains the choice of the overwhelming majority of Ekiti people.

The Union prays God to grant the Governor-elect wisdom to provide the required 21st-century leadership for the Ekiti people.
