Day One In Regional Investigative, Multimedia Training In Journalism

Participants at the 3-day Regional Investigative, Multimedia Training held in Ibadan organised by Daily Trust and Supported by MacArthur Foundation have expressed delight and appreciation for what they all described as rare opportunity.

The participants selected from all the states of the Southwest, Abuja, Ondo, Lagos, Oyo, Osun, and Ekiti states thanked the Organizers of the program which they said will go a long way in boosting their career in Multimedia  journalism as a professional.

Speaking during their introduction, they expressed with confidence that at the end of the three days training, they would have become experts, gurus, and highly proficient in Multimedia journalism.

The CEO, Daily Trust Foubdation, Mallam Dan Ali addressed the participants, while Dr. Theophilus Abah, a resource person started training with documentary process and the training class was Coordinated by Perry During a resource person with Mallam Immam Shuaib who also works for the Foundation.

Equally, mobile journalism was the second topic which was taken by Perry During who explained the aspect of Multimedia’s benefits with the use of smart phones, saying it’s affordable,  portable, discreet, approachable, flexible, empowering, friendlier, and safer.

The training session later went into Writing Human Stories which was taken at tye workshop by Mallam Manir Dan-Ali, who went deep in explaining the various kinds of human connections that human interest stories must have with other rudiments and ways to gather them to make it attractive, interesting and catching the audience attention.

Also, Another resource person, Mr. Ola Akinrowo taught the participants major topics in mobile videography where he touched, Mise en scene, arrangement of element, rule of third, head room and look room in videography and photo shots where he listed different kinds of shots with photos expression and camera lances reading as well as usage of microphones, and different types.
