Court Sentences 40 Year-Old Ritualist For Possession of Dried Human Parts in Osun

 

A justice court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State has condemned a ritualist and herbalist, Adeboye Moshood to four and a half years detainment for being in control of dried human parts.

Moshood, 40, was captured by a Joint Task Force (JTF) on Tuesday, February 16,2021, in his home at Gbayarin, in Gbongan community, Ayedaade Local Government Area of the state.

Police prosecutor, Fatoba Temitope, told the court that Adeboye and his accomplices committed the inhuman act contrary to sections, 517, 242, and 430, sub-section 34 of the Osun State.

He implored the court to rebuff him likewise to act as an impediment to other people who may be in a comparative business.

Nonetheless, Adeboye let the court know that he tracked down the carcass of a dead individual along Iworo-Gbongan while coming from Modakeke town in the state on February 16, 2022, and on seeing it, he found that the human pieces of the departed could be valuable for money ritual.

He stated that due to its usefulness, he cut the two legs and some parts of the corpse to make his mission well accomplished before being apprehended by the policemen who found the human parts in his possession.

The suspect from there on let the court know that he was not at fault for the claim evened out against him.
In his judgment, justice Omisade said the wrongdoer was at fault for the offense and condemned him to 4 years and a half years detainment with really difficult work.
