Come and Hear What Prof. Mobolaji Aluko Has Done

Cheering News:

Prof Mobolaji Aluko is the Special Adviser, Infrastructure and Public Utilities to the Governor of Ekiti State. He got all my posts on the challenges posed by the lack of electricity to the survival of small-scale businesses in some parts of Ado Ekiti, particularly as it affected the entire areas of Ita-Nla, Kommad, Fiyinfolu, and Aba’ya Medi, in Ado Ekiti which has been in total darkness since February 2022. Within a few hours of my various posts, Prof has spoken to all the relevant bodies and Agencies involved.

The last message I got from him was forwarded to him from the BEDC regional Manager in Ado Ekiti, Mr. Ofiebor, it reads: “Thank you, Prof! We have been engaging with the community and they were with me last week. We are almost done with that issue. Thanks.”

Prof also contacted the GM of Ekiti State Electricity Board, Engr Atere on what could be done to solve the electricity challenges as raised in my posts.

He replied: “Prof. I am aware of their case but the solution to this problem once and for all is to have a 1.5MVA injection Substation in that area so that it can accommodate up to 5 Distribution Transformers along that route because if another Transformer is put there it will spoil again due to overloading.”

In all of these, let me specifically commend and thank Prof for his prompt and very timely reactions. This is pure governance at play under your headship. I also think there is a need to take a holistic approach to this problem of electricity across the whole of Ekiti State. I can tell you that many if not all the small-scale businesses in the state are close to being dead already.

If we must grow our Revenue Generation as a state and create local jobs, the government must intervene in this matter of Electricity as it is being poorly supplied by the BEDC.

To many of my fans and followers who reacted and commented, I thank you all. Nagode, dalu, ese o
