My verdict about writing is that some writers are born while some are made but the bottom line is that wherever you belong, passion is key to successful writing career.
Today’s birthday boy, Wasiu Owolewa is another budding talent I met in Ekiti last year. Prior to our meeting and till date, Wasiu hasn’t worked in any media house but he has what it takes to win national award in journalism.
Through passionate commitment, the Honourable member representing Ado/Irepodun Ifelodun LG in the House of Representatives, Olusola Fatoba settled for Wasiu as Social Media content generator. He was on the job when he joined the BAO Movement, despite all odds. I saw his passion and had to go extra mile to convince our team leader, the current Special Adviser on Media to Ekiti Governor, Mr. Yinka Oyebode to allow Wasiu in. We didn’t regret as Wese successfully contributed his quota and added value to the campaign. The rest is history.
Today, this young man is managing the media office of the Ekiti State SSG, Dr. Abibat Adubiaro while still helping Hon Fatoba to generate content.
Wasiu, I believe in you because you are hardworking and you don’t give excuses. You were loyal to me and you made my assignment easy while in Ekiti. Happy birthday oko omoge to slim.
