The senior special Assistant to Governor Biodun Oyebanji on special duties chief Olufemi Aduloju has urged Muslims faithful in the state to celebrate the festival in moderation while putting into use the tenets of Islam.
Aduloju who gave the urge in his Eid Mubarak festival message to Muslims in the state congratulated Muslims for witnessing another festival haven gone through the mandatory fasting period.
He explained that sallah being a significant festival in the Islamic calendar that marks the culmination of the Hajj prigimage serves as a reminder of the values of sacrifice, compassion and generosity that are at the core of Islam.
He urged all Muslims to embody the spirit of selflessness and extend a helping hand to those in need which can translate into fostering harmonious coexistence and strengthen the bond of unity among all citizens of the state.
Aduloju said as a government, the Mr. Biodun Oyebanji’s administration remains committed to ensuring the protection of the rights and welfare of all citizens including Muslims.
While commending the Muslim community for their steadfastness, resilience, unwavering faith and passion for the development of the state prayed that the festive season bring joy, peace and prosperity for all.
