Panic on Saturday gripped the residents of Ureje, a suburb of Ado Ekiti metropolis, as residents woke up to see a lifeless body of a human being inside Ureje River.
Ureje is located along Federal polytechnic and Afe Babalola University area of Ado Ekiti capital city and where the Ureje River has its bridge and main valley.
A witness, who has his company around the area, said the Friday evening’s torrential downpour that raised Ureje River’s water level watched the corpse down to the area.
He said they have reported the incident at the Police Station at Odo Ado Area while efforts were being intensified to contact the state government on the matter
As at the time of filing this report, the dead body was still floating inside the water.
Also, the sex of the victim could not be ascertained
