Heritagenewsng reports that, an unfortunate driver of an Abuja bound , has been beaten to a pulp by hoodlums in Omuo-Ekiti axis of Ekiti east Local Government Area of Ekiti State for attacking an offcial of the Federal Road Safety Corps who broke a mirror of his 18-seater bus for refusing to stop for check.
Simply called Tayo, the driver of an 18 seater bus with poster bearing BAO, the All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate and the image of a leader of the drivers’ union in the state simply called Mentilo, has claimed that hoodlums who attacked him did so because the saw poster of the APC at the back of his bus.
The driver, who had fainted shortly after he was beaten, munbled words thus: “l am not the one who put poster of BAO on the bus o. Pls help me, they have beaten me because of this. Pls have mercy on me o”.
Meanwhile, the ugly incident has rendered the 18 passengers stranded since as the drivers’ union are yet to replace the grounded bus.
