Brazil Bàbálórìsà Reacts Against Nígerian-Yorubas, Says They Betrayed Their Ancestors

One of Brazil’s most influential Yoruba traditionalists , Bàbálórìsà Maike Aremu Figueiredo , has reacted against Yorubas and Isese religion in Nígeria , the Isese practitioner condemned the Yorubas that are still christians and Muslims . The Olorisa insists all Yorubas must practice Isese , they must worship Olodumare , and not foreign gods.

The Bàbálórìsà , who received Nígerian-Yoruba Artist and writer, Adeyinka Olaiya , in his Temple , located in Riacho Grande, São Bernardo, Brazil , further said : “ The Yorubas in Nígeria have betrayed the efforts of their ancestors , they have thrown away the teachings of Orunmila, and embraced foreign gods , they will face the wraths of the Irunmoles “ The traditionalist insists the Yoruba land can only have peace and tranquility if the Irunmoles are at peace with the Yorubas .

Vast in the Yoruba tradition of Ifa , Babalorisa Aremu Figueiredo said the Yoruba language and tradition is superb , rich in every content , he advised homes in Yoruba land to encourage the Yoruba language and tradition , he condemned vehemently the acceptance of Christian and Islamic beliefs in Yoruba homes . Baba Maike Aremu recited various contentes in IFA literary corpus to back his declarations .

Born into a family of Olorisas in Brazil , Babalawo Maike Aremu started learning IFA since he was 3 years of age . He got initiated into the IFA religion by Babalawo Ifabunmi (of blessed memory) in 1997 . Babalawo Aremu learned IFA with several Oluwos in Brazil and Nígeria . He was trained in Ibadan , Oyo and several other places in Yoruba land . The outspoken traditionalist frequents Oyo , Ibadan and Osogbo yearly, he increases his knowledge with elders in Yoruba land .

Crossed with the attitudes of some Yorubas who have denied their Ancestors for foreign religion , the Isese leader said that Orunmila , through the spiritual qualities bestowed on him by Olodumare, revealed the voices of the Sacred Father , through IFA , to mankind . He said that Orunmila is “Igbakeji Olodumare “ the second to the God of heavens. Therefore , Yorubas should not run to other spiritual mediators , they should run to Orunmila , he said Orunmila is greater than any foreign god.

Attending to Adeyinka Olaiya , on #Esu is not Satan@Brazil , a campaign, launched in Brazil last month , Baba Maike said that Satan is the beast in Christian faith , it doesn’t exist in the Yoruba religion , he said Esu is the messenger of Olodumare, and not the Satan in the Bible , he advised Yorubas to reject the comparisons always . The Brazilian traditionalist said the Europeans robbed Yorubas of their knowledge by introducing confusions into the traditional lives of the Yoruba people

The founder of Okanran Iwori Temple in Riacho grande , São Bernardo , Saopaulo , Brazil , Babalawo Maike insists Yorubas can only be liberated from modern slavery if they refrain from practicing foreign religion and embrace their indigenous religion , he said that Brazilian practitioners are vast in the religion than even some Yorubas in Nígeria who are supposed to custodians of the religion , he advised Yorubas in Nígeria to embrace Isese before it’s too late .

The spiritual leader said that Brazilians are adopting every single thing that comes from the Yoruba race , they adopt the Yoruba names , foods , styles , culture , tradition and every aspect of the Yoruba traditional religion “ It is sad that Yorubas in Nígeria are advocates of foreign religion , instead of their own Isese religion “ he said furiously , and asked the coming generation to make changes .

The Babalawo recited praises of all Irunmoles while attending to Heritagenewsng’ Adeyinka Olaiya , he started with the praises of Esu Laalu , and ended up with the praises of Orunmila, Ogun, Osun and several others in fluent Yoruba language. Baba Maike Aremu thanked the Monarchs , Babalawos in Nígeria that are keeping to the functions of their Ancestors , he said : “ ISESE LAGBA “ with pride .
