“Why I Used My Husband’s Belt To Strangle Our 11-year-old Son To Death- Mother Reveals
A foreign media outlet, New York Post has recently reported that a 50-year-old woman, Ruth DiRienzo-Whitehead had strangled her 11-year-old son, Matthew Whitehead, to death using her husband’s belt while he was sleeping. She was arrested and has been charged with first-degree murder.
The father of the boy found him dead and called the police who came to their home on the 500 block of Privet Road in Horsham, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, April 11 shortly after 7am.
The suspect confessed to killing her son when the police apprehended her. She revealed that she waited for him to start sleeping and that was when she committed the heinous crime.
She stated that her reasons for doing so was because her son kept crying and complaining about their financial situation.
So she decided to kill him so he will not grow up with all this family financial struggles.
She went further to reveal that she after she killed him, she drove their SUV car off into the ocean at Beach Avenue with the boy inside before she was taken into police custody.
She said, “I used my husband’s belt to strangle our 11-year-old son to death while slept. I did it so he won’t grow up with our financial struggles as he was complaining too much”.
