BAO’s Well Deserved Victory And Why We Should All Now Embrace Him

.. Plus Factors That Gave Him Success

..Ohun olorun lohun eniyan, the people have spoken again!, so also God has equally signed it !!!

The June 18, 2022 governorship election in Ekiti State has come and gone, the winner of the election has been declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC), in the person of Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji ( BAO) of the All Progressives Congress Party ( APC).

All the players in the election have all tried their best with everyone of them putting in all their efforts, energies and resources with the hope of getting it but surely, in every contest, there will be winners and losers. It is all part of the game.

Those who lost did so not because they did not put in their best, but because God gives the crown to some one who he has chosen divinely to succeed the out-going Governor Kayode Fayemi by October this year.

It is important to point out this fact that Oyebanji’s victory is a deserving one, considering the great efforts he has put in personally, all the efforts his party has put in, and all the efforts his leaders, and party members have all put in, and most especially, the many legacy and endurng developmental projects of Governor Kayode Fayemi which have mainly endeared the hearts of many Ekiti people to the APC and by extension, the party’s ex-governorship flag bearer, now Governor-elect, BAO.

Another major and giant factor that also compensated Oyebanji’s great efforts with the expected and not surprising victory at the poll was the good deeds and unalloyed support of the angelic “mother general”, Erelu Bisi Fayemi who actually backed him with what Yorubas call ‘oja abiyamo’ translated in English to mean ‘a real mother’s protective wrapper’ to the extent that she was called names for supporting BAO.

But the great Erelu never gave up on BAO nor was she discouraged until she fetched resounding victory for him with, of course, the huge support of all Ekiti women who she massively mobilized for Oyebanji and the APC at the poll.

Equally, there is this aspect of Oyebanji’s victory that many people were not looking at; he has always been surrounded by good women of Ekiti. As he was recieving the support of Erelu Fayemi so also he was equally being shielded by a powerful princess from ikere Ekiti as his Deputy, (put her full name).

To crown it all, his better half and heartthrob, Mrs. (Put her first name) Oyebanji, is a princess from Ado Ekiti and that endeared Ado indigenes to BAO. The foregoing facts, coupled with BAO’s good nature, were other sources of his power and secret behind his victory at the poll.

Who now says the women’s combined forces are nothing? This reality attests to the Ekiti adage which says: ‘ thhinnn! Mearuja oburin o. Mearuja Eyin iya!!’, translated in English to mean ‘Any one that sees the favour of women, will, and has definitely seen the favour of God almighty,’.

So, definitely, this very important factor was part of the reason why Oyebanji’s victory became a mystery to his opponents and they resulted to blackmail and all kinds of unfounded accusations to the ridiculous extent that some people have alleged wrongly saying, “they bought the votes, they intimidated us, they attacked us, they used power against us” and so on.

Anyway, truth is that there is no one who loses in a contest that won’t have something to say to console himself, but my take is that, now that the election has been concluded and a credible winner has emerged in the person of BAO, the opposition should have a re-think and re-examine all these factors that enhanced Oyebanji’s victory so that they can see enough reasons why we should all embrace him so that Ekiti can move forward because his success at the poll was a divine arrangement and it most importantly, signal the clear path to Ekiti’s greatness and prosperity in the nearest future.

Congratulations BAO!!!
