BAO’s Economic Blueprint ‘ll Turn Ekiti into Land of Surplus, Opportunities, Says Lawal

A Social Media activist, Dauda Lawal, has assured Ekiti residents that the economic policy of the incoming Biodun Oyebanji’s administration will strengthen the economy and turn the state into a land of surplus and beneficial opportunities.

Lawal, fondly called ADL, said going by the blueprint articulated by Oyebanji, that diversifying the economy away from being civil service-dependent to an industrially-driven economy would be the premium focus of the next administration.

The unrepentant Oyebanji’s apologist said this at the weekend during an interactive session with some of his audience and host at the Legend Hotel in Lagos.

The ex-Media Practitioner and development analyst added that Oyebanji coming on board will be beneficial to Ekiti residents because he is well prepared for the task of governance.

Adl posited that the Oyebanji administration will create and build on the existing development strategy of the current administration of Dr. Kayode Fayemi to upscale the gradual industrial revolution being pioneered by the current government to create a new economy for the state.

He exuded confidence that Oyebanji will deliver, using the legacy already laid by Fayemi as a springboard to catapult the economy to a higher and enviable pedestal.

The Social Media Activist said: “There is no doubting the fact that Governor Fayemi’s administration has laid an unprecedented legacy of development that would be built upon by the BAO administration.”

“The BAO administration has the best advantage to build on the existing development strategy of the JKF administration and stimulate it to grow the Ekiti economy.

“One of the intentions of Fayemi’s administration is to create an economy that would grow the Internally Generated Revenue of the state, create wealth for our people and create job opportunities for our growing youths population.”

“That foundation has been successfully laid by the current administration. So, BAO will conclude that transition of economic development, build on it and stimulate it.”

“Look at the rate of infrastructure development in the state despite the pursity of funds. Look at the Ikun Dairy farm, a joint venture between Promasidor Nigeria Limited and Ekiti State Government that is already producing 10,000 litres of milk daily.”

Look at the awaiting to be commissioned International Cargo Airport project. That’s a big economy on its own that will automatically jack up the IGR of the state and create massive job opportunities for our youths.”

“Our culture and tourism potential is another area that will create a boom in the next administration.”

BAO has what it takes to drive all of these to fruition and turn it into great prosperity for all Ekiti people,” he said.
