It is an established fact that Ekiti state has worn a new face under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Dr John Kayode Fayemi in the last 3 years.
Upon the taking over of the mantle of leadership, JKF led administration of which Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji(BAO) served as its Secretary embarked on infrastructural developments and implementation of people’s oriented policies.
The first major step taken by JKF led administration upon assumption of office is the cancellation of the compulsory obnoxious educational taxes paid by Ekiti children in public schools and introduction of free and compulsory education from primary to secondary school levels.
Respite came the way of parents in Ekiti whose children have been forcefully ejected from schools as a result of this obnoxious educational taxes by the immediate predecessor of Dr. John Kayode Fayemi.
The number of enrollment of Ekiti children in public schools increased rapidly over the years as a result of free education introduced by JKF led administration.
Fayemi’s administration not only introduced free education but renovated and built new modern schools across Ekiti with modern facilities to make learning more comfortable for children in public schools.
He provided free text books, laboratory equipments and other instructional materials for public schools.
Not only that, under the educational policy of JKF led administration, we have new institutions brought to Ekiti to give more access to those who wish to further with their education at the higher level.
The great feat achieved in the educational sector need to be sustained by a person who is part of the system and who has the mind and idea.
That is the major reason, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji(BAO) fits in as a suitable successor come 2022.
Ekiti let’s arise for this man of great mind and vision towards better Ekiti for the future of the upcoming generations.
