….Ward Members Assure Victory As Governor Oyebanji’s Re-election Campaign Gains Momentum
The BAO Agenda 2026 group has commenced its tour of the 177 wards in Ekiti State, starting with Ekiti South Senatorial District.
The group on Monday visited six wards in Ikere-Ekiti namely Atiba/Aafin, Ugele, Arokun, Okeruku, Agbado Oyo, and Oke Osun Odose, as part of their mission to campaign vigorously for the re-election of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in the 2026 gubernatorial election.
The delegation, led by State Coordinator Hon. Moshood Lawal (Bamayi), included Hon. Olufemi Aduloju Oja 1, the group’s Secretary General; Hon. Ebenezer Adebusuyi, the group’s Treasurer; Women Leader Hon. Bukola Jegede; and Engr. Olorunda, LCDA Coordinator received a warm welcome at each ward, with enthusiasm evident on the faces of the residents, showcasing their steadfast support for the party and Governor Oyebanji’s second term.
During their speeches, the BAO Agenda 2026 team praised Governor Oyebanji’s efforts in transforming the South Senatorial District, particularly Ikere Ekiti. They highlighted key projects such as the Ikere-Ise-Agbado road, Ilawe-Ikere road, and the opening up of rural roads and streets in the community.
The team emphasized the importance of unity within the party to avoid a repeat of the 2014 elections, where internal misunderstandings led to losses at the polling units. They urged members to set aside any divisions, as Governor Oyebanji is known for his peaceful and unifying leadership.
The members stressed the need to start garnering votes early for the 2026 gubernatorial election with the aim of making sure Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji emerge as a concesus candidate in the election.
The group noted the significant transformation in the state since Governor Oyebanji took office, citing various projects such as free health schemes for pregnant women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities; renovations of the government school for the blind in Ikere Ekiti; free bus shuttles for civil servants and public school students; and renovations of the General Hospital and primary health care centers.
The BAO AGENDA 2026 group called on members to remain loyal to Governor Oyebanji, who has demonstrated genuine care for the community. They warned against being swayed by those without better plans for the state.
Pastor Kayode Oyebode,the APC Party Chairman in Ikere Ekiti, who took the group around the wards in an interview, assured an overwhelming turnout and victory for Governor Oyebanji in the 2026 election, citing the massive developments in the community as evidence of the governor’s positive impact.
The tour continues on Tuesday to Moba Local Government,while the remaining five wards in Ikere-Ekiti will be completed in the coming week.
