APC wins all chairmanship, councillorship seats in Ekiti LGA elections

The All Progressive Congress (APC) has won the chairmanship seats of the 16 Local Government Areas and all the Local Council Development Area ( LCDAs) in the Saturday local council polls.

The party also won all the councillorship seats across the state.

Justice Cornelius Akintayo , Chairman of the Ekiti State Independent Electoral Commission (EKSIEC) announced this on Sunday at the commission’s headquarters in Ado while declaring result of the polls.

He commended the electorate, party agents, security officials, observers, among other stakeholders, for ensuring a smooth and credible electoral process, noting that cases of electoral disturbances were very minimal if there is

“We have been able to deliver a credible election to Ekiti people,” he said.

Barrister Paul Omotosho ,the state APC Chairman, congratulated the party faithful for the victory and noted that it was an indication of what to expect in the state, in the future elections.

“This resounding success has proved that APC is the only party which viably exists in Ekiti and we are not going to rest on our oars, he said.

Hon Mrs Mosunmola Adeyemo, Chairman elect in Ikole-West hailed the smooth conduct of the election and commend the electorates for abiding with the electioneering processes.

Hon Adeyemo thanked all the party stakeholders and supporters for their supports, advise and commitment since the beginning of the contest

She promised not to let the people of Ikole-West Local Council Development Area LCDA down during her administration.

The Chairman elect promised to operate an open door administration.
