Except For Politics, APC NorthCentral Governors ought to have Join Gov. Ortom to Prevent Terrorists from invading the region!
As a matter of fact, the regional invasion by alien Fulani Herdsmen Terrorists; ISWAP; Bokoharam and Bandits in the North Central States, is as a result of political unwillingness, compromise and sycophancy on the part of the APC Governors in the region!
Ordinarily and without been told, the region should have executed regional security outfit like Amotekun; except that APC states within the region are colonists of the ‘alien Terrorists’!
This is the more reason Gov. Ortom should be commended for insisting he must do everything necessary within the law to safeguard his people instead of being criticized by the opposition party in Benue; Ortom is ensuring that Benue must not be Conquered or have cells of these Islamic Terrorists like we have in Niger, Kogi, Nasarawa, plateau, and now the FCT; where we learnt that most LGAs are under the control of these non state Actors.
No doubt that APC states and their Leaders are deeply complicit in this bad Omen of terrorism in the country as a whole and particularly, the North Central Political Zone where these sects are targeting for total invasion.
Just two days ago, we heard Gov. Sule of Nasarawa State crying out that Terrorists have landed and camped in parts of his state, yet, he could do nothing because the APC led FG would frown at him.
Afteral, the National Chairman of APC is from there and we all know him to be an outspoken advocate of Miyetti Allah whose neuclous have since joined banditary and seen kidnapping students, including Women and children while threatening that schools must be shut!
Not only that kidnapping and the proceeds from ransoms have become a better payable job for the Bandits than the usual but yet alienated practice of open grazing.
As for Plateau and Niger States, it is glaring that their Governors have completely submitted their states to the Terrorists! From the level of wanton massacres ongoing in these states, one could accept absolutely that these Islamic Killers have strong bases and cells in those states.
A factor that shows or proved enough complicities on the parts of their Governors! In some LGAs of these two states, the Terrorists have installed their Emirs to collect and control taxes in parts of the Conquered jurisdiction (Emirate).
Despite the efforts of Gov. Bello of Kogi state in the formation and recruitment of about 4000 constabulary Police force for the state, the APC factor of infiltrating states with Terrorists, still raises it guts to dare attack Kogi at intervals’ just to prove that they are already in the state and are waiting and repositioning for the D-Day to unleash mayhem and intimidation to take over the state.
I don’t expect Gov. Bello to toe the lines of religious dominance cum partisanship which has brewed strong acrimony in the state, the recent is the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the APC which is seen by most Patriotic Nigerians as a sign of Talibanism in motion to rift our democracy and control it as Islamic government! Gov Yahaya Bello must ensure Kogi does not fall into the hands of these religious ‘Conquerors’.
Nobody in Nigeria could be blind, deaf and dumb to the glaring but unhindered push by these evil sects to taking over the leadership of this country, except those APC Governors and Leaders who are still playing politics with insecurity by being skeptical-not wanting to offend Buhari and the APC at the nàtional level! There is no worst leadership inept than this!
Except for Gov. Darius Ishaku of Taraba state, a PDP state whose political willingness to stopping or fighting insurgency the way Gov. Ortom is practically doing, the rests of the APC state Governors are afraid of their President, hence couldn’t execute states security outfits or discuss at the regional level for the 6 states with FCT as the 7th in the North-Central to have a common security outfit!
Benue people should regardless of Political affinity or divides, support Gov. Ortom in this struggle of emancipation from neo intra-colonialism being exhibited by the above non state Actors affiliated with Islamic but myopic Jihadists.
Thank God that Benue is not in the middle of these NC states like Nasarawa State, if not, they would have attempted to hoist their flags as a Conquered state.
Notwithstanding, some members of the Benue APC are playing the dirty card of aiding and abating Terrorists to infiltrate the state and frustrate the efforts of Governor Ortom in the fight against these insurgents! We are monitoring their solidarity statements and instigative actions!
Gov. Ortom should be courageous as usual to not spare anyone who’s statement and action are direct complicities in the act of terrorism!
Since 2015, the Governor had lobbied the North-Central State Governors to have joint security outfit to compliment the Feds in fighting Terrorists, but the factor of APC FG led administration made them compromised and played the sycophancy to the detriment of their people’s lives and properties. So where is the leadership of APC in a democracy such as ours?
The silence and criticism of Gov. Ortom by some Benue APC members over the just inaugurated security outfit – BSVG, is a clear indictments that the party could trade Benue people’s lives to Terrorists for power! No APC Leader and Chieftain have condemn the ugly National embarrassment being perpetrated by these Islamic Terrorists!
Therefore, all Benuelites should reject this Terrorists party and join hands with Gov. Ortom and the PDP to make Benue formidable and impenetrable for these Terrorists!
Politics should respect the sacred of human lives and accord maximum responsibility in the defense of same.
