We cannot forget in a hurry home or abroad , the era of horror in Ekiti state; we can vividly remember the injuries inflicted on individual victims of the days and regime of horror in Ekiti.
We cannot .forget too soon the wanton destruction of the lives of perceived political opponents and their properties in Ekiti. We pray that such hard times never return to Ekiti.
If many people have forgotten all that so soon, the Civil Servants in Ekiti will not forget in haste the regime of the Bail-out Eaters, the memories of workers in Ekiti are not so short that they will be oblivious of the regime of the Paris- Club Eaters.
Of course, they will quickly remember how their salaries were in arrears for months, and they will never pray that such an ignoble régime resurface or continue in Ekiti.
Of course, the Civil Servants will pray and pray again the government the emergence of the appendage of a government that failed to effect their promotions and pay their entitlements and leave bonuses. They will not pray for continuity of such government.
A regime that does not respect the elders and traditional institutions, I am sure will not be allowed to return to Ekiti, just as people of Ekiti cannot wish that the regime that does not give respect for the right of women or individual to the extent of beating up a judge in the state should continue.
But the current government of Dr. John kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) which Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) is an integral part has received people’s favour because it is a government that does not only give respect to women, but also protects women’s rights and would not allow their rights to be trampled upon.
Ekiti Elders and Traditional institutions will wish that the current APC government in the State should continue because Fayemi’s government gives special recognition to as well as care for the elderly ones in the State. It also will not allow the welfare, rights and respect due to the traditional institutions to be eroded.
This is a peaceful government that executed a lots of developmental projects that have human faces and progress.How will Ekiti people not pray for continuity of such government?
This is a government that does not pay a lip- service to workers’ welfare but has been paying workers’ salaries and entitlements regularly, despite the meager resources at the government disposal.
The current APC government in Ekiti is a government that ensures proper management of the citizens’ Commonwealth and treats its work force with dignity.
Therefore, the continuity of the Current APC government is more worthwhile and desirable than the other Continuity that ushers all into penury.
Therefore, the Continuity Agenda of Fayemi’s APC with BAO/MCA at the helms should be supported by all and sundry, home and abroad because, it a Continuum of ‘Omoluabis’, and continuity of better and greater days Ekiti people are longing for.
Vote for APC to allow this Continuity of progress in Ekiti, Vote BAO/MCA to bring more developmental projects into Ekiti, vote BAO/MCA come June 18, to ensure better days for women and workers in Ekiti.
