Following Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s approval of the operation of the Civil Service Mass Transits Scheme which will be at no cost to the Civil Servants and Public Secondary School Students in Ekiti state, chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Tunde Omotoso has commended the governor’ s gesture.
Hon. Omotosho, APC and Ado Ekiti Chairmanship Aspirant In the forthcoming Local Government election, Hon. Tunde Omotoso said the Governor’s gesture is Laudable and should be commended for making it free for them.
The Ado Ekiti Chairmanship Hopeful stated that “such gesture is very rare one, for instance, in the the case of many other states that are far richer than us in Ekiti, they still pay stipend for ticket, but Governor Oyebanji to have done, it commendable, it shows how far the and level of his love and concern for his people in Ekiti.
“I want to say this without micing words that we have a people’s governor in Ekiti state who priotizes and pay high level attention to his people’s welfare and we should all be praying for him. “. He added.
Omotosho however noted that the benefitiaries of the gesture will definitely appreciate this as it will in no doubt bring succur and mitigate in no small measure, the effect of the high cost of transportation on Civil Servants and Parents of Public Secondary School Students in the state as occasioned by the removal of subsidy on Petrol by the Federal Government.
Meanwhile, a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD), Mr. James Owolabi stated that the operation of the scheme will start with the Public Servants and will incorporate Public Secondary Students during the resumption from the long vacation.
He emphasized that Public Servants should carry along their Office Identification cards to enable them enjoy the scheme.
He identified the operation of routes and Bustops of the Mass transits to be:
Route 1 From David Oke Model College; Atlass Motel; Ajebamidele; Ologede Police Station; Tosin Aluko Garage; Mobil-Ajilosun; Nepa; Ministry of works; Ijigbo Round About; Sadiat Hotel Junction; Baptist College; NTA Road to the State Secretariat.
Route 2 From Erinfun; to NNPC; Ado Grammar School; Ijigbo Junction; Ojumose; Fajuyi; Moremi Bustop to the State Secretariat.
Route 3 From Ilokun to BSES; Pathfinder Hotel; Car wash; Housing Junction; Dalimore Junction, Fajuyi; Moremi Bus Stop to the Secretariat.
Route 4 From Faglo Filling station to Better Life; Local Government Service Commission; Nova Junction; Alade Filling Station; Awedele to the Secretariat.
