Alcohol Is Medicinal, God Created It- Says Fr. Oluoma

Rev Fr Chinenye Oluoma, popularly known as Father Oluoma, has opined that alcohol is created by God and serves a medicinal purpose and that those who love it can consume it, but emphasized that while consuming alcoholic beverages is not inherently wrong, moderation is crucial.

In a video which is currently trending, Father Oluoma, the Catholic priest referenced a verse from the Bible to support his argument that alcohol consumption is sanctioned by the Almighty.

Oluoma reminded the congregation that St. Paul had advised Timothy to drink wine, as it would aid in addressing his ulcer.

Drawing on this biblical example, Fr Oluoma reiterated that all of God’s creations should be approached with moderation to reap their benefits, including alcohol.

He stated, “Whether you like it or not, alcohol is medicinal. It’s God who created alcohol. St. Paul told Timothy, ‘Take it because it is medicinal.'”

The priest posed a thought-provoking question to the attendees, questioning why St. Paul did not instruct Timothy to solely rely on prayer and faith for healing.

Instead, he advised him to consume alcohol as a means of treatment. Fr Oluoma emphasized that if alcohol, like wine, is consumed in moderate quantities, it can bring about beneficial effects.

Addressing those with an affinity for wine, the Catholic priest encouraged them to enjoy it responsibly, ensuring that consumption remains within moderate limits.
