Alawe Calls For Peaceful Celebration of This Year’s Olofin Festival

The Alawe of Ilawe-Ekiti, HRM Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, AFUNTADE 1, has called on Ilawe people to celebrate this year’s Olofin festival coming up on Wednesday, 31st of July ,2024 peacefully .

Speaking yesterday in his palace at Ilawe Ekiti ,Oba Alabi noted that this celebration might be low-key because of the present economic situation in the nation but stressed that all the necessary traditional rites would be performed alongside the funfare accompanying them.

The Alawe pointed out that adequate security would be provided during the celebration and that hoodlums or miscreants would not be allowed to have a field day .

The Olofin festival is essentially the King’s festival which is celebrated annually by the entire members of the community

Congratulating the indigenes,Oba Alabi in statement signed by his Special Adviser, (Media), High Chief Ajibade Olubumi wishes them a happy celebration
