Alawe Calls For Concerted Efforts To End Violence In 2022

– The Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, AFUNTADE 1, has called for concerted efforts of Nigerians and the Federal government to put an end to violence throughout the country in the year 2022.

The Alawe made the appeal in his new year message while felicitating with the entire people of Ekiti state and Nigeria for witnessing this year’s Christmas and the beginning of the new year celebrations .

Oba Alabi at a dinner meeting with the elites of Ilawe in his palace on 26th December 2021 congratulated the people for witnessing a hitch free Christmas celebrations and urged them to pray hard for peaceful coexistence, end to banditry and kidnappings in the nation in 2022.

” I hereby plead with the Federal government to use the available tactics and power to end all forms of violence in 2022 by enlisting the support of all Nigerians”, the Alawe stressed while reiterating that success could only be achived through total and maximum support of Nigerians.

The Monarch also felicitated with the Governor of Ekiti State, Dr.Kayode Fayemi, his wife, Erelu Bisi Fayemi and members of Ekiti State cabinet, the Federal Government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari, Religious leaders and traditional rulers throughout the country for witnessing this year’s Christmas and new year festivities.

The Alawe in the message ,specificall advised youths to shun vices such as political thuggery, drug addiction, cyber crimes and other nefarious activities

Oba Alabi futher counselled Christians and others to regard Christmas and the New year period as time for sober reflection on the lessons from the life of our lord Jesus Christ by imbibing peaceful resolution of issues and crisis. “Happy Christmas and new year ” the Monarch concluded.
