Abide By Rules of Broadcasting Before Disseminating Information- Ekiti Govt Tasks Is ANBROAD

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji has tasked broadcast journalists in the state to abide by the rules of broadcasting before disseminating information to the heterogenous diversified audience.

Represented by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Media and Publicity, Hon Yinka Oyebode while hosting the members of Association of Nigeria Broadcasters (ANBROAD) Ekiti State Chapter, in the government office Ado Ekiti, said the professional broadcasters must be objective, truthful and accurate in their news and programmes contents.

Hon Oyebode also maintained that the association must serve as an intermediary between the government and the public in ditching out its contents to avoid conflicts of interest.

While speaking, the Chairman of ANBROAD, Hon Elder Olugbenga Olaniyan who thanked the governor media aide during the courtesy visit, promised that the association shall always maintain its core principles.

Also speaking, the National Financial Secretary, Apostle Bayo Famoroti and the pioneer chairman, Mr Kayode Jegede explained that the association was not established out of hypocrisy as others were insinuating but mainly for staffed and ace broadcasters in the state and Nigeria as a whole.

Some dignitaries present were the S.A to governor on Political Inter party affairs, Otunba Omolade Bolarinwa, State Deputy Chairman who is also the SA to the governor on Entertainment, Hon Olatomide Feyisayo, State Secretary Prince Tope Ademoye, State P.R.O Prince Oloruntoba Ajibade, The SA on Culture, Elder Chief Akinlade Ojo, Elder Kokoirin Arinde B.O.T, Elder Odeyemi, State Treasurer Elder Akuko Anobi, among other executives and members.
