The All Progressives Congress leading governorship aspirant, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji(BAO) has rounded off his 5-day consultation tour at Ado-Ekiti LG this evening.
APC party leaders and members in their large numbers gathered at Fajuyi mini pavilion in Ado-Ekiti to receive the governorship aspirant.
Chief Taiwo Olatunbosun who was the first to speak at the occasion took time to talk about the sterling qualities in Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.
He described Mr Oyebanji as the most qualified and competent among the aspirants to succeed Governor Fayemi come 2022.
The party scribe called on all party members and leaders in Ado-Ekiti to give their total support to Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji at the upcoming governorship primary election.
The team leader of the consultation tour, Baba Alaba Abejide called for unity of purpose among Ado-Ekiti leaders.
He solicited for their for Mr Oyebanji at the primary election.
Thereafter, Chief Jide Awe presented the aspirant to all Ado-Ekiti leaders and members and called for his endorsement ahead of the governorship primary.
Ado-Ekiti APC leaders led by Baba Adigun unanimously endorsed Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as their preferred candidate come January 22
The motion for endorsement was moved by Hon. Kemi Balogun and seconded by Hon. Mike Akinleye who is the LG party Chairman of APC in Ado-Ekiti.
Mr Oyebanji while speaking after his endorsement by Ado-Ekiti APC leaders showed his profound appreciation to APC party leaders and members for their support and presence at today’s local government consultation tour.
He also extended his profound appreciation to the Governor of Ekiti state, His Excellency, Dr John Kayode Fayemi, his wife, Her Excellency, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi and former Deputy Governor of Ekiti state, Her Excellency, Prof. Modupe Adelabu for their unconditional support at all time.
He started further that his experience and exposure in act of governance over the years put him in an advantageous position to succeed Dr. John Kayode Fayemi in office after the end of his tenure.
Mr Biodun Oyebanji assured party members and leaders that they won’t be left out in scheme of things if given the support at the primary election.
He showed appreciation to His Royal Majesty, Oba(Dr) Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III for his positive impact in his life.
He added that his emergence as governor come 2022 would pave a way for other homegrown politicians to attain higher positions in Ekiti state.
On a final note, he called on them to give him the full support come January 22.
Prominent APC leaders in Ado-Ekiti which include, Hon. Mike Akinleye, Chief Oluyemi Esan and Chief Remi Oguntuase presented the aspirants gift as a show of love and support for his aspiration.
Mr Oyebanji and his entourage also toured Ekiti-East and Gbonyin LGs. In all the places visited, encomium was poured on him for his good attributes.
