The management of the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State (BSES) has showered encomiums on the commissioner for Youth and Sports Development in Ekiti State, Hon.Micheal Awopetu on the various achievements recorded by the state in the sports sector in recent years.
At an award ceremony held at the BSES headquarter in Ado Ekiti, Hon. Awopetu was given an Award of Excellence in recognition of his contributions to the accomplishment of various development in sports.
The Award recipient while addressing pressmen shortly after the event said it was a call to duty and to serve more diligently.
Hon.Awopetu thanked the management of the BSES for the recognition with a promise to keep supporting sports and youth initiatives of the broadcasting outfit including the forthcoming BSES KIDDIES FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP for primary school pupils.
Aside the Sport Commissioner, other award recipients were the Secretary to the State Government, Hon.Biodun Oyebanji, the Head of Service of Ekiti State, Mrs Peju Babafemi, the Accountant General of the State, Mrs Titilayo Olayinka, Commissioner for Local Government, Hon.Adio Folayan, Rector of the Federal Polytechnic among others.
The awards were bestowed on them for their various efforts at developing sports from the grassroots through their energy and resources.
