Heritagenewng reports that an accident victim and one of the beneficiaries of the Otunba Demola Popoola(ODEP)’s philanthropic gestures, Tayo Alabi has undergone a successive surgery
Alabi who was down with renal complications after he was involved in a ghastly motor accident was rescued by Popoola who foot his medical Bill’s.
About 500,000 was paid by Popoola to the Okesa Cottage Hospital in Ado-Ekiti where the surgery was undertaken.
An apparently elated Alabi described the All Progressives Congress(APC) aspirant as God’s sent to Ekiti .
Hecexpressed gratitude to God for a successive surgery. addimg that without his timely intervention, there was no way he could have raised the huge sum required for the surgery.
“Alabi who was involved in a ghastly motor accident and sustained serious injury on his private part had lost hope as he couldn’t pay the huge hospital bill of N460,000.”
However Popoola in his response lauded the cottage hospital as he observed the state of art equipment and quality of staff in the health institution.
Popoola had donated of a sum of N1million to an undergraduate of the Federal University of Technology,Akure(FUTA), Akure ,who undergone brain surgery at the Afe Babalola Multisystem Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti.
Recall that many accident victims and patients have enjoyed Popoola’s benevolence in the last few weeks ,amongst them one Itunu Ojo,who was admitted at the Government General Hospital Oye Ekiti after complications as a result of an ectopic pregnancy.
Ojo was also stranded and her plight got the attention of ODEP Foundation which promptly waded in and paid a visit to the patient at the hospital and thereafter defrayed the medical bills .
