Venite University, Iloro-Ekiti, has taken a significant step toward strengthening industry-academia collaboration following a high-level familiarisation visit by a delegation from Agbeyewa Farms.

The delegation, led by the Director of Community Engagement, Alhaji Dauda Lawal, was received by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charity Onye Aremu, as part of efforts to establish a productive working relationship and explore areas of mutual interest.

At the heart of the engagement was a shared commitment to bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world application. The discussions focused on developing partnerships that would provide students with practical exposure while supporting innovation and community-driven development.

In a major highlight of the visit, the Agbeyewa team formally invited the Vice-Chancellor to serve as guest speaker at its 2026 Retreat, an event expected to bring together farmers, industrialists, and traditional rulers to deliberate on agricultural advancement and economic sustainability.

The university management described the visit as timely and strategic, noting that it aligns with Venite University’s vision of fostering meaningful collaborations with industry players to enhance experiential learning and graduate employability.

Reaffirming its institutional philosophy, Venite University emphasised its commitment to nurturing a new generation of self-reliant, innovative, and globally competitive graduates through a blend of academic excellence and hands-on experience.

The management also expressed optimism that the engagement with Agbeyewa Farms would mark the beginning of a mutually beneficial partnership capable of driving sustainable development across both sectors.
