Speaker Aribasoye Hosts Oyebanji as Governor Inspects Assembly Remodelling

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on Monday visited the Ekiti State House of Assembly where he inspected the ongoing remodelling of the Assembly complex and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening collaboration between the executive and legislative arms of government.

The governor was received by the Speaker of the Assembly, Adeoye Stephen Aribasoye, and other principal officers during the visit, which was aimed at fostering continued harmony and cooperation between both arms of government.

During the inspection tour, Oyebanji examined several sections of the legislative complex currently undergoing extensive renovation, including the Assembly’s chamber.

Speaking during the visit, the governor expressed satisfaction with the quality of work on the remodelled facilities, particularly the chamber, describing it as a more pleasant and befitting environment for lawmakers to carry out their legislative responsibilities.

According to him, the remodelling project reflects the state government’s commitment to strengthening democratic institutions and providing a conducive working environment for legislators in the state.

Aribasoye, while appreciating the governor for the visit, said the presence of the governor at the Assembly complex underscored the high regard he has for the legislature and his dedication to maintaining a productive relationship between the two arms of government.

The Speaker noted that the cordial working relationship between the executive and legislature has continued to play a significant role in driving development across the state.

He commended the governor for his kind words on the ongoing renovation project and reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to sustaining cooperation with the executive arm in order to advance the growth and development of Ekiti State.
