A former Deputy Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly and current lawmaker, Rt. Hon. Hakeem Jamiu, a.k.a. OLUWANISOLA has urged Nigerians to embrace daily physical activity as a vital and natural way to maintain good health, describing it as more effective than reliance on drugs.

Jamiu, representing Irepodun/Ifelodun Constituency II in the Ekti State House of Assembly, who spoke from personal experience, said regular physical exercise remains one of the best forms of medicine and a major secret of healthy living.

According to him, although daily exercise can be tedious, discipline and consistency make it achievable and rewarding.

“This is what I do daily, and I recommend it to my friends as the best form of medicine. It is better than taking drugs,” he said.

The lawmaker emphasized that maintaining an active lifestyle is particularly important as people grow older, noting that it helps individuals remain independent and physically capable without relying on others who may be preoccupied with their own daily struggles.

He added that investing in one’s health through regular exercise today guarantees strength, mobility and self-reliance in old age.

Rt. Hon. Jamiu however encouraged citizens to adopt healthy routines, stressing that those who do so will “thank themselves later” for choosing a disciplined and proactive approach to wellness.
