Ekiti 2027: Comrade Suleiman Targets Grassroots Turnaround in Ido/Osi Assembly Race

Comrade Suleiman Muyhdeen Toba, has declared his intention to contest the Ekiti State House of Assembly seat for Ido/Osi Constituency 1 in the 2027 general election, drawing attention to his local roots and long-standing ties with the people.

Comrade Suleiman , who hails from Ifaki in Ido/Osi Local Government Area, said his decision to seek elective office is anchored on his upbringing within the constituency and his understanding of the social and economic realities facing residents.

In a statement announcing his aspiration, the aspirant said the people of Ido/Osi deserve representation that is accessible, accountable and deeply connected to the grassroots.

He noted that issues such as youth unemployment, pressure on farmers and challenges in the education sector require leaders who have lived among the people and understand their daily struggles.

According to Toba, his proposed agenda in the House of Assembly will focus on people-centred laws that support youth empowerment, women and the elderly, while strengthening education and community development.

The aspirant said he plans to promote inclusive governance by ensuring that constituents are regularly consulted and involved in decisions that affect them.

He added that transparency and accountability will guide his approach to leadership, with emphasis on proper oversight of constituency projects and public resources.

Toba highlighted his experience in student leadership and public service, saying these roles have prepared him for effective lawmaking and representation at the state level.

He further stressed that his aspiration is not about personal ambition but about service, inclusion and shared progress for Ido/Osi Constituency 1.

The Ifaki-born aspirant called on residents to support a new direction in representation, aimed at preserving community values while pursuing sustainable development ahead of the 2027 polls.
