….Assures of NEMA assistance
The House of Representatives member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1 and Chairman, House Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values, Hon. Fatoba Olusola Steve has sympathised with Government and the people of Ekiti state specifically in Ado/Irepodun-Ifelodun over the heavy downpour that led to the destruction of their properties yesterday.
Fatoba in a statement which was personally signed by him described the incident as quite unfortunate and promised to reach out to NEMA in providing assistance to the victims of the heavy rainstorm in support of the efforts of the state government under the able leadership of His Excellency, Mr Biodun Oyebanji.
The lawmaker also stated that he was already in talk with NEMA in assisting victims of recent fire incident that occurred in Igede-Ekiti late last year.
“I wish to use this medium to sympathize with residents of Ado-Ekiti over the heavy downpour that led to destruction of their properties. I am deeply worried on hearing about this unfortunate incident.
“As your representative, I have already been in touch with government agencies such NEMA in identifying and providing all necessary assistance to those that were affected by this natural disaster in support of the ongoing efforts of the state government.
“I promise that no stone will be left unturned in our efforts to assist victims of this heavy downpour in Ado-Ekiti and other areas in my constituency” Fatoba assured.
