….Canvasses support for Gov. Oyebanji’s 2nd term
As a way of reaching back to the people and supporting the good effort of Ekiti state Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji in priotizing the welfare of party members and also in line with his shared prosperity agenda, the Senior Special Assistant(SSA) on Cooperative development, Otunba Dayo Famoyegun has distributed food stuff and cash to party members of the All Progressi Congress(APC) at Erijiyan Ekiti in Ekameta LCDA during their weekly meeting on Sunday, 13th April, 2025.
The beneficiaries of the food stuff tagged, “Ounje BAO” comprises committed party members from Erijiyan ward 4 and 5. The food stuff consisted of, raw rice, beans, semo and other items.
In his remarks, Otunba Famoyegun expressed his profound appreciation to party members for standing solidly behind the governor and the party.
He stated that the kind gesture from him which
will be the second edition of his empowerment programme was just his way of appreciating them for their unwavering support and also to motivate them to contribute more towards the progress of the party.
In his words he said “Words alone cannot express my appreciation to you for the way you have been supporting the administration of His Excellency, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji. There is no other way to appreciate you better than putting smile on your faces.
“As one of your worthy sons that you have recommended to serve the state, I am here this evening to give back to you from the little I have been earning in support of the good effort of the governor and also aligning with his shared prosperity mantra”
Famoyegun commended Governor Oyebanji for his transformative leadership style which has contributed in no small measure to the development of the state in the last two and half years. He called on Ekiti people to give the Governor another chance to rule the state till 2030.
The Special Adviser to Ekiti state Governor on Political matters, High Chief Jide Awe commended the Governor’s aide for his good initiative and deeming it fit to give back party members.
He added that Otunba Famoyegun has proven himself as real son of the soil who is true committed to the good welfare of his people.
Chief Jide Awe urged the Governor’s aide not to relent but continue with his good gesture.
“When you entrust right people with leadership positions especially the homegrown one who know where the shoe pitches, they will always do the right thing at the right time.
“I commend Otunba Famoyegun for deeming it fit to give back to party members and I believe that this will serve as good example for other appointees to follow.
“I urge him not to relent but continue with his good work ”
During the course of the program, the Chairman of State Universal Basic Education Board(SUBEB), Prof. Femi Akiwunmi supported Otunba Famoyegun with cash for party leaders from the two wards in Erijiyan Ekiti.
In the same vein, the ward Chairmen of Erijiyan ward 04 and 5 appreciated Otunba Famoyegun on behalf of the beneficiaries and pledged the continual support of party members in the LCDA for Governor Oyebanji’s administration.
The well attended programme had in attendance political office holders and party leaders which included, the Special Adviser on Political matters to Ekiti state Governor, Chief Jide Awe, Chairman of Ekameta LCDA, Dr. Leye Adeniji, SUBEB Chairman, Prof. Femi Akiwunmi, Hon. Aderemi Oluwatayo, S.A to the Governor, Hon. Ebenezer Adebusuyi, SSA internal relations.
Also in attendance were, Hon. Afolabi Dunni, Vice Chairman Efon local government, Mr Mayowa Oyedeji retired Permanent Secretary, Hon. Alade Adewole, Supervisor for Health, Ekiti West and other notable leaders.
