EKITI STATE GOVERNOR CELEBRATES DR. KAYODE FAYEMI AT 60, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO YOUTH EMPOWERMENT.

The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji has joined well-wishers in celebrating the 60th birthday of former Governor Dr. John Kayode Fayemi, hailing his contributions to youth empowerment, governance and national development.

The Governor who was represented by the secretary to Ekiti State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro at the JKF @60 Youth Festival in Adetiloye Hall Ado-Ekiti described Dr. Fayemi as a visionary leader, whose legacy of progressive governance continues to shape the state.
Oyebanji said he holds the former governor in high esteem for his invaluable service to Ekiti and Nigeria.

He extended his heartfelt appreciation to former First Lady, Erelu Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi, acknowledging her unwavering support for her husband and contributions to societal development.

Highlighting Dr. Fayemi’s enduring impact, the governor emphasized his administration’s commitment to youth inclusivity in governance, economic empowerment and political participation. He credited initiatives like the Ekiti Knowledge Zone, Youth in Agriculture Scheme and the Digital Skills Development Programme as key policies that have transformed the lives of young people in the state.

“As we celebrate JKF @60, I urge our youths to draw lessons from his journey— unwavering commitment, intellectual depth and progressive leadership,” she said.

“The path to greatness, as demonstrated by Dr. Fayemi, is paved with vision, hard work and the courage to challenge the status quo” He said

Governor Oyebanji reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to.. sustaining and expanding these initiatives, pledging continued investment in education, job creation, innovation and entrepreneurship to ensure Ekiti youths reach their full potential.
