JUST IN: Court Grants Dele Farotimi Bail
In a notable legal development, human rights activist and legal practitioner, Dele Farotimi, has been granted bail by Ekiti state federal high court following his recent arrest.
The decision was made during a hearing that saw his legal team argue in favor of his release pending further proceedings.
The 2023 African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, announced the development on his X handle on Monday.
Sowore stated that Farotimi was granted N50m bail with a surety in the same amount, who must provide landed property as collateral. The case has been adjourned to 29 January 2025.
He wrote” The first hurdle was crossed. @DeleFarotimi was granted bail of N50 million naira surety in the like sum with someone with landed property. The Case was Adjourned to 29 January 2025″.
