Super 8 Play-Off: Ekiti United Resume Full Scale  Training

Heritagenewsng reports that in preparation for the NNL super 8 scheduled to hold in Enugu between September 7 and September 11, coaches and players of Ekiti United fc today resumed training at the Oluyemi Kayode stadium in Ado Ekiti.

 

The training was well attended by all players and coaches as the head coach, Samson Omiponle put the entire squad through some fitness and tactical sessions.

The Team Manager, Olusola Babatola who was also in attendance said no stone will be left unturned towards ensuring an impressive performance at the NNL SUPER 8 starting on September 7 in Enugu.

In the meantime, the Chairman of Ekiti United fc Supporters club, Mr Sunday Afolabi has called on well meaning people of Ekiti state to support the team financially ahead of the Super 8.

He noted that the state governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi and some of the state executive members could not do it alone, hence the need for well to do individuals to complement government’s efforts at motivating the team which qualified for the Super 8 for the first time in the history of Ekiti state.

Secretary of the team, Ayodeji Olowolafe in a statement commended all those who supported Ekiti United fc one way or the other during the recently concluded NNL 2021 season.

Olowolafe expressed optimism that the state governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi and members of the state cabinet and legislature as well as kind hearted in the state and those in the diaspora will support Ekiti United fc for it to meet up with all necessary logistics before and during the Super 8.

Training continues tomorrow (Tuesday)at the Oluyemi Kayode stadium in Ado Ekiti while the team is expected to depart for Enugu on Sunday or Monday prior to Super 8 kickoff.
