Ayo Olopon Global Tourism Festival 2024 Ends On Ijidale Pledges Support for Future Editions

The Ayo Olopon Global Tourism Festival 2024 concluded with a wave of excitement as participants, spectators, and government officials came together to celebrate the success of the event.

The two-day event, which highlighted the strategic skill and cultural significance of the traditional Yoruba game, ended with a major announcement from Hon. Olalekan Ijidale, the Director-General of the Ekiti State Bureau of Local Content.

During the closing ceremony, the Ijidale made a significant cash pledge to ensure the event’s future success, stating that it was crucial to continue supporting platforms that promote the state’s cultural heritage.

“This event has shown us the power of our traditions,” he remarked. “We must continue to invest in preserving them, and I’m happy to pledge financial support to ensure we come back stronger next year.”

In addition to the pledge, the Director-General promised that next year’s edition would surpass this year’s in scale and impact, with plans already underway to expand the event and bring in even more participants.
