The 64th NBA Annual Conference: My Diary! (With 17 Photo Speaks)
At the ongoing 64th NBA Annual Conference in Lagos, focusing on “Pressing Forward: A National Posture for Rebuilding Nigeria,” I had the privilege of engaging with several key figures who are working in shaping the future of our nation and the region at large.
These included President John Dramani Mahama, former president of the Republic of Ghana and now a presidential candidate in the forthcoming Ghanaian election; the EFCC Chairman, Mr Ola Olukoyede; the ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Usman Abubakar; the former Governor of Kebbi and Minister of Budget and Economic Planning in Nigeria Atiku Bagudu; and my coach, the former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi. Additionally, I interacted with the Attorney General of the Federation, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN; the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, SAN; the former Attorney General of Ekiti State, Mr. Olawale Adekola Fapohunda, SAN, the Governor of Ondo State, HE Lucky Aiyedatiwa; Mr. Obafemi Adewale, SAN; Mallam Yusuf Ali, SAN; my friend Bar Abiodun Famojuro; Mrs Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya the Chair of the AGC and Mrs. Adewole, the Special Adviser to the President on Ease of Doing Business. Also had the privilege of reunion with some of my mates at the University and Nigerian Law school.
The conference has been a platform for meaningful discussions and a significant step forward in the quest for the rebirth of our nation. Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s keynote address was particularly impactful, leaving us with a resonating question that demands action: “Are we ready?” This moment marks a pivotal opportunity for us all to take decisive steps toward rebuilding Nigeria.
Thank you!
